How do I chat with other members?

Through our realtime chat system you can chat live with other members of Cup of Sugar with two two main chat areas available: general chat and one-to-one chat.

The general chat area is open to all. Its an interesting place to catch a glance of people, but not really suited to coherent conversation. Please read more about finding your way around the general chat area.

The one-to-one chat area lets you engage in private conversations with your contacts. You can keep as many conversations going as you like, with each being between just you and one other person. Please read more about finding your way around the one-to-one chat area.

Quick solution

Once you've reached the chat area, select either the general chat link or the one-to-one chat link.

1. Sign-in by visiting http://www.cupofsugar.com/ and entering your username or email address and password and selecting the Sign in button. You should be normally be taken to the standard search results page. If not your current profile settings do not find any matches, in which case use the quick search form to find some matches.
2. Select the purple Chat tab.
3. Select either the general chat or one-to-one chat links to switch between these two chat areas.
