How do I add a profile photo?

Your profile photo is displayed on your profile page and next to your details in search results. Letting people know what you look like will help them decide whether they want to meet you.

From the Edit my profile section, select My picture and follow the instructions.

1. From within the Edit my profile section, select My picture from the horizontal list of links below the horizontal blue bar. If you are not sure how to get to here, read about how to edit your profile and account settings.
2. Select Change my picture.
3. Using the Browse button, select from your computer the photo that you wish to add.
4. Select the Upload image button and wait. The photo you selected will now be uploaded. This may take more or less no time at all, or may take a few minutes and depends on the speed of your Internet connection. If you encounter an image upload error at this stage, please read our guide to successfully uploading a photo. Once your photo has been uploaded, you will be take to the image editor.
5. The image editor will let you select the portion of the uploaded photo that you would like to use for your profile photo. Simply follow the instructions below the image editor to select the portion of the photo you would like to use. When happy, select the Crop button.
6. You will now be presented with the picture that will be used for your profile. If you are happy with the result, select the Continue button. To have another go, select the Try again button.
