What is the difference between a profile photo and an album photo?

There are two different types of photos you can add: a profile photo and an album photo.

So, what is the difference between the two types?

Profile photo

To start with, there is only one profile photo. Your profile photo, as the name would suggest, is displayed on your profile page and so will be seen by anyone viewing your profile. It will also be displayed next to your details in search results.

Album photo

As well as having a profile photo, you can also add up to 10 album photos. These are displayed in a separate section from your main profile. Album photos are larger that your profile photo and can also include comments.
